Summer Excursion 2026

Our 2026 summer excursion was characterised by a broad spectrum of contrasts between low-tech and high-tech, yet a harmony of spatial quality and atmospheric richness, ranging from the Agricultural Centre in Salez, designed by Andy Senn Architect, to the KSGR Cantonal Hospital in Chur, designed by Staufer & Hasler Architects. The trip concluded with a visit to our ongoing construction site for the Graubünden University of Applied Sciences in Chur.

Many thanks to Andy Senn and Thomas Hasler for the inspiring guided tours.

Competition Brühlmann Areal

We placed second in the design competition for the Brühlmann Areal housing development in Schaffhausen. The two building blocks frame the existing street spaces and form a semi-public courtyard. The public facilities are consistently oriented towards Schwabentor, Adlerstrasse and Ringstrasse, bringing life to the public space and anchoring the building in urban life. The ground floor is conceived as a stage rather than a threshold: a place where the private sphere meets the public sphere and urban interaction becomes possible.

Steigerhubel Pedestrian and Cycling Bridge, Bern

On 28 May, our project team, together with Fürst Laffranchi Civil Engineers, visited the steel construction firm SOTTAS Stahl- und Metallbau in Bulle. In addition to touring the company’s production halls, we were able to observe the fabrication of a box girder element for our 91-metre-long, free-span bridge.
